La Pocatière is a quiet, rural, agricultural centre located along the St. Lawrence River in the heart of the Kamouraska region, approximately 1 hour east of Québec City, an area rich in historical sites and cultural events. You will be charmed by the region’s scenery and its beautiful sunsets.
Arrival and departure
Participants have to be present in La Pocatière BEFORE June 30, 2025 at 8:00 am. Please note that the accommodations will be ready by Friday June 27, 2025 at noon. Our personnel will be on hand to welcome you.

EXPLORE PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AGED 16-17
The program officially ends on Friday, August 01, 2024 (after the banquet).
Shuttle service (Summer programs only)
After Explore's draw, subsidy recipients will be sent an e-mail from our institution including our registration package and all necessary information regarding our shuttle service. Buses will be awaiting Québec City's airports on Saturday June 28 and Sunday June 29, 2025 to pick up the participants needing a shuttle service, and will also bring them back to the airports after the program. More details to come by e-mail.
How to get to La Pocatière by yourself?
By car
Take the exit 439 (McDonald’s exit) from Highway 20 East (Trans-Canada Highway) and come up the hill to the College.
By plane and bus
From the Montréal-Trudeau Airport, take a shuttle to the Central Bus Station (1717, Berri street, Montreal (Quebec), 514 842-2281). The bus fare, from Montréal to La Pocatière, is approximately $85.00 (one way).
From the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, take a taxi to the Orléans Bus Station in Sainte-Foy (3001, Chemin Quatre-Bourgeois, 418 650-0087).

By train
We are organizing a shuttle service for the participants enrolled in our Explore 3-week French immersion AND 5-week French immersion summer programs. We have a shuttle service for students traveling by VIA Rail at the train station in La Pocatière OR by bus at the bus station in La Pocatière. A monitor will be on hand to ensure the participants’ supervision. There is no reservation needed. This service is free.
8.5% discount with Via Rail
The Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), Official Languages Sector, has partnered with Via Rail to offer bursary recipients a 8.5% discount at the time of booking for all classes of service available.
Participants must quote code 810706 when reserving in order to receive the discount. Participants reserving online must first create a profile while those reserving by telephone at 1-888-VIA-RAIL should provide the code to the sales agent.
It is very important that participants show their letter from CMEC including their full name and the discount code to the agent when picking up their tickets at the train station. Participants who cannot produce the letter will be required to pay full fare. Please send an e-mail to samuelgagnon@leadercsa.com in order to receive your letter.
Discounts are applicable to regular fares only and tickets are refundable without charge. Reservations can also be changed (depending on the availability of the alternative train).
Note: If your bus or train is scheduled to arrive in La Pocatière in late evening or in the middle of the night on June 28 and June 29, monitors will be awaiting at both bus and train stations to take you safely to our residence.
